Meet Cashew!
"Hi there. I am Cashew, but that is only my name when I am in trouble. I usually answer to Shu-shu. I am about 1 ½ years old. I was found with my sister in the summer of 2010 in Squirrel Hill. She found her family last fall. Now I am ready for my forever family. I love, love, love toys of just about any kind, but especially toy mice and practice golf balls.
I am very energetic but also very loving. Like Allie, I enjoy sunny windows, where I can perch to soak up sun and watch the great outdoors. It takes me a little while to warm up to people I don't know, but if you would only be a little patient with me, I promise that I will want to love and be loved once I feel at home. It's just not easy to go in and out of cages month after month and see other kitties going home, but always be passed by. I would look great under your tree, but I think I might rather climb it!

We don't always know a cat's exact age, since many cats come to us as adults. If a specific age is not listed, here is the key to the age categories:
- Juvenile = Younger than 2 years old
- Young = 2 to 5 years old
- Middle-aged = 5 to 10 years old
- Senior = 10 years and older
